Hi my name is Natalie Schlagenhaft. I have been in the child care field for the
past 3 years. I started at AFCCC in November 2011. I received my Bachelors degree in Biology (Arts/Sciences) at UW-Eau Claire.
I am currently attending Chippewa Valley Technical college for Dental Hygiene. My hobbies include spending time with friends
and family, biking, hiking, playing games, listening to music, and being creative. My future goals are to work as a dental
hygienist and possibly work in a pediatric dental office. Something interesting about myself is that my mom and I sponsor
a little boy in Bangladesh. With the money we send, along with letters, he receives a place to stay, schooling, food,
and a place where he can play with other kids. I chose to enter the child care profession because I hve always had a passion
for children. Children are so fun to be around and you learn a lot from them.
Hi my name is Mitchell Smith. I have babysat since I was in middle school. I started
at AFCCC in October 2011. I am currently a student at UW-Eau Claire for Graphic Design. My hobbies include soccer, football,
cross country and any kind of art or craft. My future goals are to get married and have kids after graduating college. Something
interesting about myself is I have moved 12 times since I was born and I have been at an architecture college before attending
UW-Eau Claire. I chose to enter the child care profession because I love to interact with kids. I have babysat for a family
with four kids ranging from 8 months to 5 years old.
My name is Jamie Milanowski. I have been in the child care field for 3-1/2
years. I started at AFCCC in August 2010. I am a Senior at UW Eau Claire studying Communication Sciences and Disorders. My
hobbies include reading, scrapbooking, and playing the saxophone. My future goals are to attend graduate school for speech
and language pathology and to become a speech pathologist in a school or birth-3 program. I chose to enter the child
care profession because I have always had a passion for working with kids. My mom was a director of a child care when I was
growing up so I was always around it. It has been a great way to gain experience for my future. I love my job and enjoy spending
time with the kids and seeing them learn and grow.
Hi my name is Rebecca Schulz. I have been in the child care field for 3 years. I
started at Altoona Family Child Care Center in August 2011. I am in the process of an undergraduate degree in Communication
Sciences and Disorders at UW-Eau Claire, and will then proceed to get my master's in Speech/Language Pathology. I enjoy
the outdoors, running, hiking, swimming, boating, etc. I also love writing, shopping, and hanging out with my friends. My
future goals are to get my masters in speech and language pathology and become a speech language pathologist and to start
a family. Something interesting about myself is I am obsessed with the color green an dam deathly afraid of spiders! I chose
the child care profession because I've always had a love for children, so working with kids doesn't even seem like
'work' to me. I love to watch kids as they learn new things and grow into individuals. I would like parents to know
that I am easy to talk to so if you ever have any questions or concerns about anything, I'd love to hear them :)
